Sprint launches second ad starring former Verizon 'Can you hear me now?' Test Man

Last month, Sprint made waves when it released a new ad starring Paul Marcarelli, the guy who used to ask “Can you hear me now?” in Verizon ads. Now Sprint and Marcarelli are back with another spot.

The new ad is called “Powerslide” and it shows Marcarelli talking up Sprint’s network reliability and Cut Your Bill In Half deal, which offers to save 50 percent on most Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile rate plans. The ad will air tonight, July 25, on CBS, NBC, and FOX, but you can check out the whole thing right now above.

Sprint’s first ad with Marcarelli turned out to be pretty popular, with a lot of folks being caught off guard by seeing the guy who used to utter one of the most well-known catchphrases in mobile for Verizon now working for Sprint. Now Sprint is going back to the well with another ad, so get ready to see Marcarelli and his black-framed glasses on your TV once again.

In addition to releasing this new ad, Sprint today unleashed its Q1 2016 results. Sprint reported postpaid phone net additions of 173,000 and postpaid churn of 1.39 percent, the latter of which is the best postpaid churn rate in company history. Sprint also reported that its now got 59.45 million customers and that its LTE Plus network is live in 237 markets. It wasn’t all good news for Sprint, though, as the big yellow carrier reported a net loss of $302 million, up from a net loss of $20 million one year ago.
