T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy Note 4 now being updated to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

A Marshmallow treat is a pretty great way to start the week, and today that’s what T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 owners are getting.

Several T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 owners are now receiving an update to Android 6.0.1 over the air. T-Mo hasn’t yet updated its support site with info on the update, but the folks that’ve already gotten the update say that it’s 1506.66MB in size.

As for what’s included, you can expect Marshmallow goodies like Google Now on Tap and Doze mode battery optimizations. The update is listed as also offering a refreshed TouchWiz interface with an updated visual design.

Galaxy Note 4 owners on T-Mobile have had to sit by and watch many other Android devices be updated to Marshmallow in recent months, so it’s nice to see the Note 4’s update finally going out over the air, too. To check manually for the update, go into Settings > About device > Software update. You can also update using Samsung’s Smart Switch software for your PC.
