Last month, Pebble introduced its new trio of wearables: Pebble 2, Pebble Time 2, and Pebble Core. Turns out that those aren’t the only new devices that Pebble had up its sleeve, though.
Pebble today debuted the Pebble Time Round Special Edition. These Pebble Time Round devices are similar spec-wise to the Pebble Time Round that launched in late 2015, but their faces are different. They’re available with polished silver and polished gold faces, and both models come with smoked 03, 06, 09, and 12 o’clock numbering on their black bezels. They also include genuine leather bands, but you can swap the band with any other 20mm band.
These Pebble Time Round Special Edition models start shipping in September. Pricing is set at $199 apiece, though Pebble is offering a combo deal that includes the Pebble Time Round Special Edition and a Pebble 2 for $298.
With the Pebble Time Round, Pebble aimed to make a smartwatch that looked more like a traditional analog watch than a smartwatch. These Pebble Time Round Special Editions take that a step further, gaining a polished finish that help give them a look that’s a bit more classy and premium.
