Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) hits Verizon with Android 6.0.1 and $110 price tag

The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) started making the rounds of US prepaid carriers back in January, and today it’s hitting another prepaid service.

Verizon is now offering the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) on its prepaid service. Pricing is set at $109.99 without a contract, which is a pretty good price for what you’re getting. Here’s what the Galaxy J3 (2016)’s spec list looks like:

  • 5-inch 1280x720 Super AMOLED display
  • 1.2GHz quad-core processor
  • 5-megapixel rear, 2-megapixel front cameras
  • 8GB of storage
  • microSD slot with support for cards up to 128GB
  • 1.5GB of RAM
  • 2600mAh battery
  • Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

While the Galaxy J3 (2016)’s feature set may be high-end, its 720p Super AMOLED screen should look fine at a size of 5 inches, and it also includes a microSD slot for getting more storage. And it comes with Android 6.0.1 — the very latest version of Android — out of the box. If you’re in the market for a new prepaid phone on Verizon, the Galaxy J3 (2016) is one to consider.
