Sprint working on a fix for iPhone-using subscribers unable to connect to LTE network in SoCal

Apple’s deployment of iOS 9.3 can’t seem to run out of hitches. A few days ago, there were reports that the latest update to the iPhone maker’s iOS mobile operating system was causing apps to crash especially, when users tried to tap on web links. Apple has since released an update to the iOS 9.3.1 update, but apparently, the software is causing all sorts of problems for Sprint’s subscribers too, especially those that are based in Southern California who own any of Apple’s newest flagship devices, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. 

Based on various posts on social media, these iPhone owners in Southern California are unable to connect to Sprint’s LTE network after updating the iOS software on their mobile devices. The good news is that Sprint is well aware of the situation. As a matter of fact, the fourth biggest wireless carrier in America has issued a statement acknowledging the validity of customer reports regarding the inability to achieve LTE data connectivity particularly in that part of the Golden State. Sprint further promised that they are now busy coming up with a fix for the problem, and it should be able to provide a solution soon.

It should be noted that some affected users in Southern California were able to take care of the issue by rebooting their device, and then updating their chosen roaming list and data profile. However, this fix is not consistently effective across the board, with some customers claiming that after trying this solution, the problem has persisted. With that in mind, affected users may do well to wait for Sprint’s official fix.

UPDATE: Sprint has resolved the LTE connectivity issues as of this morning.
