As far as 2016 smartphone releases are concerned, LG’s latest flagship device, the LG G5, counts as one of the more innovative devices anybody has seen in quite a while. In promoting its shiny new toy, the South Korean tech giant has commissioned the services of none other than the Transporter himself, Jason Statham.
In the latest LG G5 ad, Mr Statham is as bad-ass as ever, although things do get a bit weird. First of all, the action star appears to be playing everybody in the commercial, including a rather disturbing toddler Jason on a stroller. The actor does get to flex his muscles in more than one action scene, and overall, seems to be enjoying the proceedings.
While the ad is certainly amusing, even for non-fans of the gorgeously depilated star, it remains to be seen if it will go on to become an instant classic just like that Clash of Clans ad that featured Taken star Liam Neeson.
As for the LG G5, the device is already awesome without Statham’s involvement. But if the Transporter can make the LG G5 more visible than it already is, then by all means, bring it on, Jason.
