LG G3 Users in Canada Receive Marshmallow Update

There are rumors going around that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update won't be released for the LG G3. Well at least for T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint, and US Cellular. Verizon has already released an update for the LG G3 a few months ago so many device owners have been waiting for an official schedule on when they can expect an update on their LG G3.

Canadian carriers, on the other hand, have just announced that the update has rolled out to the LG G3. The announcement makes the update available to carriers such as Rogers, SaskTel, Fido, Bel, Virgin, MTS, Videotron, and Koodo.

If you are using the LG G3 under any of these Canadian carriers, you may navigate to Settings > About > Software > Update so you can start receiving the Marshmallow update. It is over 777 MB in size so make sure you have enough space and battery to accommodate the download. But once the update has been installed successfully, you'll be able to enjoy new features such as Doze and Now on Tap.

Hopefully, other US carriers will announce the same good news for its LG G3 users soon.
