Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge shown off in image leak

There have been a few Galaxy S7 leaks so far that’ve detailed the features of Samsung’s upcoming Android flagship, but today perhaps the biggest GS7 leak yet has surfaced, giving us a peek at the phone itself.

Images of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge have been shared by Evan Blass. One render shows the fronts of the two phones, which look rather similar to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. One noticeable tweak is that the home buttons on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are a bit more rectangular than the ones on the GS6 and GS6 edge.

Another noticeable feature is that the Galaxy S7 edge is quite a bit larger than the Galaxy S7. Previous rumors suggested that the GS7 edge would have a 5.5-inch display while the GS7’s would be 5.1 inches, and today’s leak seems to back that up. Finally, the bottoms of both phones are home to their headphone jacks and charging ports.

The Galaxy S6 received praise for its design, with many folks saying that it was one of the best-looking Galaxy S phones to date, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Samsung stick with a largely similar look for the Galaxy S7. Some folks might be bummed that there’s not an all-new design, but I think that it’s a good move by Samsung.

As a refresher, the spec lists on these two phones are rumored to include 2560x1440 Super AMOLED displays, Snapdragon 820 processors in North America and Exynos 8 Octa 8890s in other versions, 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage, and 12-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras. The Galaxy S7 is rumored to include a 3000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S7 edge is reportedly packing a 3600mAh battery.

It’s expected that Samsung will formally announce the GS7 and GS7 edge in late February, with a US launch rumored for March 11.
