Starting today, if you buy a select smartphone from T-Mobile, you can get another for 50 percent off.
T-Mobile’s Half-Off Smartphone Event launches today and will run for a “limited time.” It’s available in stores and through telesales, which you can reach by calling 1-800-866-2453. With the promo, you can buy one smartphone from a group of select devices and get a second phone for half off its regular asking price. The devices that are eligible for the promo are:
- Samsung Galaxy S6
- Samsung Galaxy S6 edge
- Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+
- Samsung Galaxy Note 5
- LG G4
- LG V10
- Apple iPhone 6
- Apple iPhone 6 Plus
- Apple iPhone 6s
- Apple iPhone 6s Plus
One thing to keep in mind is that while you can select two different devices from the same manufacturer, you can’t mix and match device makers. So you can buy a Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5, but you can’t get a Galaxy Note 5 and an iPhone 6s Plus.
When it comes time to actually buy your phones, you can do so either through an equipment installment plan that’ll break the cost up into monthly payments or by paying full retail price. That means that there’s no JUMP! On Demand option here. It’s also worth noting that the discount on the half-off phone is applied instantly, so you don’t have to wait for a prepaid card in the mail. Finally, T-Mo says that you can buy up to 12 devices with this promo, which will get you six half-off smartphones.
T-Mobile’s new promo is targeted at families and businesses that would normally just upgrade one person’s phone and then hand that old phone down to another person. The Half-Off Smartphone Event aims to let everyone upgrade, and what’s good is that all of the smartphones included are high-end models that most folks ought to be excited about.
