Remember earlier today when I told you about those $50 discounts on the Nexus 6P and 5X? Those were being offered by Best Buy and Amazon, but if you’d prefer to do your buying through Google, you can get those deals now, too.
Google is now offering $50 discounts on the Matte Gold Nexus 6P as well as the Nexus 5X in its official online store. That means that the Matte Gold Nexus 6P is $449 for the 32GB model and $499 for the 64GB variant. If the smaller Nexus 5X is more your style, you can get the 16GB model for $299 and the 32GB flavor for $349.
Google doesn’t say how long these discounts will be available, saying only that buyers can “Get rewarded for your Android love this Valentine’s Day.”
The Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X are two of the better Android smartphones that you can buy today, especially when you remember that they get updates directly from Google and before most other Android devices. And while some folks might not be into the idea of a gold smartphone, our own Marco Hanna said that the 6P is actually a faint gold that’s “definitely not up in your face,” so perhaps this Nexus 6P sale is worth a look even if you’re not typically a gold hardware person.
