Microsoft leaks Lumia 950 XL, Lumia 950 in its online store

We’ve seen quite a few Microsoft Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950 leaks so far, including one that may have come from an internal Microsoft presentation. Today’s leak is a bit different, though, in that Microsoft itself posted it.

Microsoft’s UK store has posted listings for the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL days before the phones are due to be announced. The entries clearly show both phones and confirm both their names and some of their specs.

According to the entries, the Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950 will both feature 20-megapixel cameras with ZEISS optics, 32GB of storage, microSD slots that support cards up to 2TB, and Windows 10. Meanwhile, the Lumia 950 XL will have a 5.7-inch 2560x1440 display and the Lumia 950 will have a 5.2-inch 2560x1440 display.

We’ve already seen these images and specs before, so there’s nothing really new revealed by Microsoft’s leak. The fact that this information came directly from Microsoft is notable, though, because it basically confirms the existence of the devices and some of their biggest features. Unfortunately, two important details about these new Lumias — their prices and launch dates — aren’t included in Microsoft’s store listings.

Microsoft is holding an event on October 6, and it’s expected that we’ll see both the Lumia 950 XL and Lumia 950 announced there.
