Sprint Open World international add-on now supports 33 more countries

Apparently it’s “International Plan Expansion” day, because following T-Mobile and Verizon’s announcements about their expanded international offerings, Sprint some international news of its own to share.

Sprint today added 33 more locales to its Open World feature, which offers free calling and texting with 1GB of data to select countries and free texts, $0.20 per minute calls and $30 per gigabyte of 3G data in others. The 33 countries being added to Open World fall in the latter category. They are:

France, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles, St. Barthelemy, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Suriname, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and Vanuatu

In order to take advantage of Sprint Open World, you’ll need an eligible LTE/GSM smartphone. So long as you’ve got that, you can get Sprint Open World’s free texting, $0.20 per minute calling, and $30 per gigabyte 3G data for no extra cost.
