Remember the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition? It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about one of the original GPe devices, but today the S4 GPe has reemerged.
One Galaxy S4 Google Play edition appears to be getting an over the air update to build LMY47O. This update will bring the GS4 GPe from Android 5.0, which it got in late 2014, to Android 5.1.
The Galaxy S4 Google Play edition’s Android 5.1 update is coming later than most other Nexus and GPe devices — much later, in fact — but it’s better late than never. So enjoy your Android 5.1 update, GS4 GPe owners, because considering how little love Google has shown the GPe program lately, who knows when or if another update will arrive.
