Moto 360 Sport wants to be your exercise buddy

Alongside its new Moto 360, Motorola today also revealed the new Moto 360 Sport, which as you might expect, is a fitness-oriented version of the Moto 360. The Sport has a silicone construction and UV coating that Motorola says will wick moisture and resist fading, while side vents will help keep you cool.

Another notable feature of the Moto 360 Sport is its AnyLight hybrid display, which combines a traditional backlight screen with a front lit reflective technology. The Moto 360 Sport can switch between the two based on lighting conditions, allowing you to see its display whether your indoors or out.

Many existing Android Wear smartwatches are designed more for wearing out and about rather than as a fitness partner, but the Moto 360 Sport is definitely all about helping you exercise. The rubberized band looks like it’ll be durable and sweat-resistant, and the AnyLight display with its front lit tech sounds like it should keep the screen nice and visible when you’re outside and the sun is beating down.

Motorola isn’t talking pricing or availability for the Moto 360 Sport quite yet, but the company promises that it’ll share more info soon.
