Google’s Free App of the Week is back, giving Android users another premium app for no charge.
This week’s free app is Toca Hair Salon 2, an app that normally costs $2.99. As its name suggests, the app tasks you with running your own hair salon and cutting, coloring, and styling hair however you’d like. The app is 42MB in size and requires Android 4.0.3 or higher.
Now that Google has offered a family-focused app for the second week in a row, it’s looking like this Free App of the Week promo may primarily be targeted at Google Play’s new Family section, perhaps as a way to help draw attention to that part of the store. Some folks may be disappointed that the Free App of the Week is family-centric so far, but a free app is a free app, so it’s tough to complain too much about Google’s new promotion.
