After numerous leaks, it looks like the Galaxy S6 Active might soon be made official

We already know basically all that there is to know about Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Active thanks to the multiple leaks that’ve surfaced in recent weeks. There are two details that’ve managed to elude us, though: its launch date and price. Thankfully, that info may finally be revealed soon.

AT&T recently posted a tweet that reads “Only one thing is missing from your workout. It’s almost time to activate your full power.” Included in the tweet is an image of a person holding a phone that’s obscured by an orange rectangle.

AT&T’s tweet is meant to be cryptic and leave us puzzled, but because the Galaxy S Active phones have always been AT&T exclusives in the U.S. and the GS6 Active has been leaking so frequently lately, it’s pretty likely that AT&T is referring to the GS6 Active. There are also a couple of parts of the photo that seem to add credence to the theory that AT&T is teasing the Galaxy S6 Active. For one, the person in the photo has her thumb right about where the phone’s home button would be, and then there’s the placement of the headphone jack, which is in the same spot as the Galaxy S6.

As its name suggests, the Galaxy S6 Active is a toughened version of the Galaxy S6 that’s suited for doing active things. With slabs of glass on its front and rear and its lack of waterproofing, the Galaxy S6 is perhaps the least tough Galaxy S phone to date, and so the GS6 Active could be more attractive to consumers than past models. That’s especially true when you remember that the GS6 Active will have largely the same spec list as the GS6, including a 5.1-inch 2560x1440 display and 16-megapixel rear camera.
