Samsung Galaxy S6 Active leaks again in clear press images

Just in case the several Galaxy S6 Active leaks that surfaced last month wasn’t enough to convince you of the unannounced device’s existence, I’ve got another one to share with you.

A new pair of images that depict the AT&T-branded Samsung Galaxy S6 Active have been shared by @evleaks. This version looks to be gray, which is a bit less ostentatious than the digital camo-clad models that previously leaked.

The Galaxy S6 Active is expected to be a toughened version of the regular Galaxy S6, which has slabs of glass on its front and rear. The GS6 Active is expected to be similar to the GS6 in terms of specs, though, offering a 5.1-inch 2560x1440 Super AMOLED display, 3GB of RAM, and a 16-megapixel rear camera.

In the past, we’ve seen a lot of rugged devices come to market that could take a beating but weren’t terribly impressive when it came to raw specs. Thankfully, it looks like that won’t be the case with the Galaxy S6 Active, meaning that folks that want a tough phone won’t have to sacrifice features for that rugged shell.

There’s still no word on when AT&T might actually announce this Galaxy S6 Active, but with warmer months and beach weather coming, hopefully the launch is soon.
