Xiaomi will sell some products in U.S., U.K., and other countries on May 19 [UPDATED]

UPDATE: Xiaomi's Mi store is now open in the U.S. and other countries. If you snag some products, be sure to let us know what you got!

Xiaomi will finally begin offering its products in the U.S. and other new countries later this month.

Xiaomi has announced that on May 19 at 1:00 pm CEST (7:00 am ET), it’ll launch a beta test of its online store in the U.S., U.K., France, and Germany. You’ll be able to buy 5000mAh and 10400mAh Mi Power Banks for $9.99 and $13.99, a Mi Band activity tracker for $14.99, and Mi Headphones for $79.99. Xiaomi says that “very limited quantities” of the products will be available, so you’ll probably have to be quick if you want one of the devices.

Xiaomi products have mostly been limited to China in the past, so it’s exciting to see the company finally extending into the U.S., U.K., and other major countries. Of course, it’d be nice if some of Xiaomi’s smartphones were going to be made available too, but the handful of accessories that’ll be sold is better than nothing. And perhaps if this beta test goes well, we’ll see Xiaomi expand its product offerings in the future.

Do you plan on trying to buy one of Xiaomi’s products during this store test?
