AT&T Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge updates bring battery and screen enhancements

If you recently treated yourself to a Samsung Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge on AT&T, it looks like AT&T is treating you to a software update.

AT&T has announced that it’s now pushing updates to both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. The former update is 238MB in size, while the latter is 239MB. Their sizes aren’t the only things about these updates that are similar, though, because their changelogs look pretty much the same, too:

  • Battery performance enhancement
  • HD Voice enhancement
  • Screen enhancements
  • AT&T Message enhancement
  • Screen rotation enhancement
  • Power key press time from .5 sec to 1.5 sec
  • Other various performance enhancements

PhoneDog reader Russell has already received this update on his Galaxy S6, so if you’re rocking either a GS6 or GS6 edge on AT&T, you should check for this update if you haven’t already gotten it. You can try to pull it manually by going into Settings > System > About Device > Software update > Check for updates. Once you’re done installing it, you’ll be on LRX22G.G920AUCU1AOE2 if you’re on a GS6 or LRX22G.G925AUCU1AOE2 if you’ve got a GS6 edge.

Thanks, Russell!
