Facebook rolling out three News Feed updates

Heads up, Facebook users, because the social network is changing the ways that it shows content in your News Feed.

Facebook says that it’s rolling three updates to its News Feed. The first update relaxes the rule that prevents you from seeing several posts from the same source in a row, allowing you to see additional posts if you run out of other content to look at.

The second News Feed update that’s going out will push photos, videos, status updates, and links posted by your friends higher up into your News Feed. The goal of this decision is to make it less likely that you’ll miss posts from your friends. The same will apply to pages that you read news from and interact with.

Finally, Facebook’s News Feed update will make posts about your friends interacting with other posts appear lower in your News Feed.

Facebook’s News Feed updates appear aimed at making it easier to see more content shared by your friends and pages that you interact with regularly. If you use Facebook with any consistency, you should start to see more posts from friends and certain pages at the top of your feed, while posts about your friends interacting with pages will start to be moved to the bottom of your feed. Keep an eye out for these tweaks in your News Feed in the coming days.
