Google Play Music now lets you store up to 50,000 songs in its cloud

Good news for music lovers with large song libraries: Google has upped the number of tunes that it’ll let you store in its cloud.

Google Play Music now lets you store up to 50,000 songs in its cloud, which you can then stream to your devices using the Google Play Music app and your computer. Previously, the limit was 20,000 songs.

Many people nowadays likely just stream music using Spotify, Rdio, Google Play Music All Access, and similar services rather than owning anything. However, folks with music that’s not available on streaming services can use cloud storage to free up space on their devices, and now Google Play Music lets them store 50,000 tracks. That’s a lot of music, but I’m sure that there are some folks out there that’ll take advantage of it.

How do you listen to music on your smartphone or tablet?
