Moto E (2nd Gen.) appears on Best Buy's site before it's announced

Remember that Moto E (2nd Gen.) that leaked out last month? It’s still not official, but today a new leak has emerged that adds quite a bit of support to the original report.

Best Buy has added a listing to its online store that shows a Moto E that’s exactly like the one from last month’s leak. The new Moto E is meant for use with Sprint Prepaid and has a price tag of $99.99, but you can’t actually order a unit yet.

This new Motorola Moto E is listed with the following specs:

  • 4.5-inch 960x540 display
  • 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 8GB of storage
  • microSD slot with support for cards up to 32GB
  • 5-megapixel rear, VGA front cameras
  • 4G LTE connectivity
  • HD Voice
  • Android 5.0 Lollipop

Compared to the original Moto E, this new model’s got a slightly larger display, a quad-core processor rather than a dual-core, double the internal storage, and 4G LTE connectivity. And while it remains to be seen how much Motorola will ask for the unlocked GSM versions of the Moto G (2nd Gen.) that are almost certainly coming, this new Moto E looks like a solid improvement over its predecessor.
