Which email app have you settled on?

Applications on smartphones have been around a long time. Things like calculators, notepads, and what have you. Sure, they were simple, rudimentary even, but they got the job done. Now, though, calculators have animations when you hit the digital buttons, notepads have more features than you can shake a stick at, and the best (or worst) part is that there are literally thousands to choose from.

The same can be said for just about any app out there. Even games. Titles like Flappy Bird saw a plethora of clones after it launched and saw its own success. Or Threes. The list is endless. The moment you start thinking about apps in general, though, that list starts looking like a kid’s Christmas list to a certain gentleman in a red coat.

It’s long.

There are so many apps to choose from that sometimes it can be hard to pick the best one. Or, perhaps more likely, you think you’re already using the best one and then you see another option on someone else’s phone, or on a website like this one and suddenly you’re replacing what you’ve been using to try something new.

Google has a couple of email clients now. There used to be the fantastic Sparrow email app. (It’s technically still out there, just not supported anymore, sadly.) There’s Mailbox. Boxer. And so on and so forth. And let’s not forget the stock email apps! Those have to count for someone out there. And if you look at Android phones, there’s usually another email app on there for good measure, usually implanted from the manufacturer.

With so many options out there, I’m curious to know which one, or even which ones, you’re using every single day. Is it Inbox from Google, since it recently opened up its invitations? Or how about Mailbox? Something else? Let me know, I’m curious!
