It’s Wednesday, and many Android fans know that that means that it’s time for Google to roll out some Android app updates. El Goog has pushed quite a few updates today, including to Google Maps and Google Play Music, but one of the most significant updates has been for Google News & Weather.
A new version of the Google News & Weather app is now rolling out that includes new weather graphs, searchable news and curated articles from your favorite publishers. Google also says that it’s also added a new dark theme, which you can see in the image above.
This is the second big update that Google News & Weather has received in recent months: back at the end of August, the app got refreshed with a Material design user interface. While this latest update isn’t quite as big as that Material design makeover, it does bring a lot of new features that I’m sure users will appreciate. That’s especially the case with the dark theme, which users with AMOLED displays will likely be happy with.
