Verizon Moto X (2nd Gen.) Android 5.0 update fully detailed [UPDATED]

Less than two weeks after Motorola began pushing Android 5.0 to its Moto X (2nd Gen.) Pure Edition and Moto G (2nd Gen.) models, it looks like the Lollipop update is nearly ready to go for the Verizon version of the Moto X (2nd Gen.) as well.

Motorola has posted its official changelog for the Verizon Moto X (2nd Gen.)’s update to Android 5.0. The update, which will bump the device up to software version 22.21.11, includes a number of tweaks such as Material design, notifications improvements, updates to Moto Display, performance improvements, Smart Lock and more. Originally it was thought that the Verizon Moto X (2nd Gen.)’s Android 5.0 update was currently undergoing testing, but many non-testers say that they’re getting the update too. If you’ve got a Verizon Moto X (2nd Gen.), you can check for this 678.6MB update by going into Settings > About phone > System updates > Yes, I’m in.

UPDATE: Verizon has confirmed that its version of the Moto X (2nd Gen.) is indeed getting its Android 5.0 update starting today. Verizon’s changelog can be found on this support page.
