Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Android 5.0 update shown in leaked screenshots, video

So far this month, we’ve seen leaks that show Android 5.0 running on the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4. Now it’s time for us to preview Lollipop on the Galaxy Note 3.

SamMobile today posted a video preview and screenshots that show Android 5.0 running alongside Samsung’s custom user interface on the Galaxy Note 3. Unsurprisingly, the software looks a lot like what we saw on the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 earlier this month. The software has the blue UI elements that are present on the S5 and Note 4, there’s a new system font and and an updated Multi-Window feature. SamMobile also reports that the animations are “smoother than before.”

Overall there’s nothing terribly shocking about this leaked update. The Galaxy Note 3 is still a big (pun intended) handset for Samsung, and so of course it’ll get updated to Android 5.0. It also makes sense that the update will look similar to the one found on the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4. That said, it’s still nice for Note 3 owners to get an early preview of the update that they’ll hopefully be getting in the near future.
