Verizon: Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 on sale June 26 with XLTE in tow

Verizon customers, you’ll soon have one more option when it comes to selecting a tablet that’ll connect you to Big Red’s cellular network.

Verizon has announced that it will begin selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 on Thursday, June 26. Pricing will be set at $379.99, while customers interested in saving a bit of cash will be able to snag one for $279.99 with a 2-year contract.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is an entry-level Android tablet that sports an 8-inch 1280x800 display, 3-megapixel rear and 1.3-megapixel front cameras, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 4450mAh battery and Android 4.4. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is also compatible with Verizon’s new XLTE service, which offers faster peak data speeds when compared to regular LTE.

While it’s not a bleeding edge device, the Tab 4 8.0 does look like a respectable option for anyone in the market for an affordable cellular tablet.
