AT&T Moto X Android 4.4.2 update officially detailed by Motorola

Well that didn't take long, did it? Just days after we got wind of an Android 4.4.2 soak test for AT&T's Moto X, the update has been officially announced by Motorola.

AT&T Moto X owners can expect to be bumped up to software version 165.44.1 with this latest update. The update includes cloud printing support, improved battery life and a fix for an email sync bug, just like the 4.4.2 updates for the other U.S. carrier-branded Moto Xs. Unlike those devices, though, the AT&T X is also receiving a fix for a bug that caused data connectivity woes for users while outside of the U.S.

AT&T hasn't announced the rollout of this new Moto X update, but now that Motorola has made it nice and official, the over the air push should begin shortly if it hasn't already. Now that AT&T's Moto X is on Android 4.4.2, all of the U.S. carrier-branded Moto X units are running the latest version of Android, which is an impressive feat and something that Motorola should be proud of. Here's to hoping that these speedy updates continue in the future.
