PhoneDog’s Official Smartphone Rankings (OSR) has landed on week 99, and while the top three smartphones for the People’s Choice remained the same, the Moto X found its way into our Mobile Tech Experts’ top three. Will the first week of February 2014 and OSR week 100 bring any other eventful changes to the charts?
MT PLEASANT, SC – January 29, 2014 – PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR), the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by placing votes from readers and experts in their respective charts, has entered week 99 and now includes the new BLU Life Pure and Sony Xperia Z1S. Neither made a top five splash, but the Z1S has moved its way eight spots up the charts. The HTC One is still standing tall atop the People’s Choice chart with an amazing 45-week hold on first place. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Google Nexus 5 follow with 65 and 39 votes, respectively. Moving back into fourth place is the LG G2 with 38 votes, while the Nokia Lumia 1520 is in fifth place with 31 votes.
For the second week in a row, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 earned the most points on the Experts’ Choice chart with a total of 37 votes. Meanwhile, the Apple iPhone 5s held onto the number two spot with 30 points. Flip-flopping positions, The Moto X and the Google Nexus 5 flip-flopped positions this week, with the Moto X finishing third with 24 points and the Nexus 5 ending up in fourth place with 19 votes. Rounding out the experts’ top five list for another week is the HTC One with 17 points.
