Looks like Verizon's got itself a shiny new plan offering on this fine Tuesday.
The big red carrier is using its home page to advertise a new $45 plan that includes unlimited talk, text and 250MB of data for $45 per month. The plan also includes unlimited world messaging for free for the first three months, with the add-on going up to $5 per month after that. Verizon says that the $45 rate plan is a "limited time offer," but it doesn't say how long it'll stick around, and as of this writing it looks like consumers interested in actually signing up for the plan will need to call up Verizon telesales or hit up their nearest brick and mortar store.
An image leaked to Droid-Life claims to show that Verizon also has a similar $60 plan that also includes unlimited talk and text, but bumps the data allotment up to 1GB of usage per month. However, there's no mention of this plan on Verizon's website.
While the data buckets included with these two plans may not be adequate for the heaviest of megabyte munchers out there, the promo plans could be a good fit for lighter data users. Verizon's base Share Everything plan for smartphones comes out to $60 per month for unlimited talk, text and 250MB of data. The new promo plans offer either the same data allotment for $15 less per month or a full gigabyte of data usage for the same price.
