Better get your thank you cards out, Chromecast owners, because today Google announced that it's giving owners of its streaming dongle 10 new applications as a holiday surprise. The Big G says that the VEVO, Red Bull.TV, Songza, PostTV, Viki, Revision 3 and BeyondPod apps now include Chromecast support. Additionally, Chromecasters can push their personal media to their screen using the Plex, Avia and RealPlayer Cloud apps.
Today's batch of new Chromecast apps looks to include a nice variety of content, including music videos from VEVO and music from Songza, and I'm sure that there are quite a few folks that are happy to see Plex add support for the diminutive stick. Plus, it's just good to see the Chromecast continue to get love in the form of additional app support. Google says that these updated apps will be rolling out over the coming days, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those always-exciting update notifications.
