Samsung Galaxy Note 3 shipments hit 5 million units in first month of availability

One week after reporting that its Galaxy S 4 had surpassed sales of 40 million units since launch, Samsung has now shed some light on how its other flagship Galaxy smartphone has been performing in the market. According to Korean publication Hankooki, Samsung co-CEO J.K. Shin recently announced that the Galaxy Note 3 has shipped 5 million units in its first month of availability. The Galaxy Note II took 2 months to reach the same number of shipments.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was officially unveiled in early September and began rolling out worldwide shortly thereafter. So far it sounds like the latest entry in Samsung's flagship line of phablets is doing pretty well, and with the holiday season coming up and the fact that it's available on all four major U.S. carriers as well as U.S. Cellular, it's certainly possible that the Note 3 will continue to enjoy strong shipments in the coming months. Have you picked up a Galaxy Note 3 yet?
