After launching on Sprint earlier this year, it looks like Samsung's ATIV S Neo is now ready to see what life is like as a GSM device. AT&T announced this morning that it plans to launch the ATIV S Neo on Nov. 8 at price of $99.99 with a two-year contract. The ATIV S Neo will also be available with AT&T's Next frequent upgrader program for $21 per month.
The ATIV S Neo is Samsung's latest Windows Phone 8 offering. It packs a 4.77-inch 1280x720 display and 1.9-megapixel camera on its face, an 8-megapixel shooter on its backside and a 1.4GHz dual-core processor in its body. Also included is 16GB of internal storage that can be supplemented with a microSD card up to 64GB in size.
AT&T has been the go-to carrier for Windows Phone hardware in the U.S. for quite some time now, offering a considerably wider range of devices that run Microsoft's mobile OS than any other operator. The addition of the ATIV S Neo to AT&T's lineup just means that the big blue carrier's Windows Phone lineup is even larger than that of its competition, and while the Neo may not be the freshest Windows Phone on the block, it's always good to have more choice when shopping for a new smartphone.
In addition to its announcement of its ATIV S Neo launch plans, AT&T today revealed that its 4G LTE network is growing. AT&T says that its LTE service is now available on the Big Island of Hawaii and in Kankakee and Bradley, Ill., Laconia, N.H. and Gaffney, S.C.
