Remember that rumor about the HTC One coming to Verizon? Looks like it was true. Verizon just announced on its official @VZWNews Twitter account that it will be launching the HTC One "later this summer." No other details about the device or its availability have been revealed.
The HTC One was originally introduced back in February 2013, and at the time Verizon was the only carrier of the big four U.S. operators that wasn't a part of the announcement. Rumors and speculation about a possible Verizon-flavored HTC One have been flying since then, but today the device has finally been confirmed by Verizon itself. While it's not clear which color(s) or capacities Verizon might offer, I'm betting that the fact that the phone is official is enough to get many Verizon customers excited. Stay tuned and I'll fill you in on the rest of the details just as soon as I get 'em.
