New HTC ThunderBolt update detailed by Verizon

It looks like 2013 is shaping up to be a pretty good year for the HTC ThunderBolt and its owners. After receiving a long-awaited update to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich in February, the ThunderBolt is now slated to be updated once again, this time with a handful of improvements and bug fixes. The new update will bring the TBolt up to software version 7.02.605.10 and includes an improved text messaging app, enhancements to Yahoo and Microsoft Exchange email connectivity and a few other goodies. Here's the full changelog that's been posted by Verizon:

Device Features

  • Microphone now works with HAC enabled
  • HTC Watch now shows titles available for viewing or purchase
  • Amber alerts are now visible
  • Text messaging app has been improved
  • Improvements to Yahoo and Microsoft Exchange Email Connectivity

As one might expect from that somewhat small list, this update isn't very large, coming in at just 19.3MB in size. Still, it's good to see the ThunderBolt continuing to get some love from HTC and Verizon. The TBolt recently turned two years old, and while the number of Verizon customers still rocking the thing may not be huge, those that are sticking with their device will soon be treated to an update that'll (hopefully) make their TBolt better. Are you or anyone you know still using the ThunderBolt as a daily driver?
