Verizon BlackBerry Z10 launching in both black and white on March 28, pre-orders begin March 14

Following AT&T's announcement earlier this week, Verizon today revealed its launch plans for the BlackBerry Z10. The big red carrier just revealed that the Z10 will be available in stores and online starting Thursday, March 28, with a price tag of $199.99 on a two-year contract. Interested customers will be able to pre-order Verizon's version of the Z10 starting March 14 at 8 a.m. ET. Verizon will be offering the BlackBerry Z10 in both black and white versions, with the latter model being exclusive to Verizon.

The BlackBerry Z10 features a 4.2-inch 1280x768 touchscreen, 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 16GB storage, microSD card slot and 4G LTE connectivity. It's also the first device to run the new BlackBerry 10 operating system. While the Z10 has been available internationally for over a month now, it's currently only available to T-Mobile business customers here in the U.S., with public launches slated for later this month. The Z10 is a big deal for the company formerly known as RIM, and it'll be interesting to see how U.S. consumers react to the device and its new OS. Good thing we don't have to wait long to find out. Are any of you Verizon folk thinking about picking up the Z10 once it launches?
