It looks like some Nexus 4 buyers are going to have themselves a nice start to 2013, as several members of the Android Central forums are reporting today that they've begun receiving shipping notifications for their Nexus 4 orders. The new Nexus handset was last made available for purchase on Nov. 27, and now some of the folks that got their orders in on that date are being told that their device is finally on its way.
The Nexus 4 originally launched on Nov. 13 but it quickly sold out, leaving many would-be buyers without even a chance to throw their money at LG and Google. Anyone that wants to use their newly-acquired holiday cash to buy one now will have to play the waiting game, as both the 8GB and 16GB flavors of the Nexus 4 are currently listed as "Sold Out" on Google Play, and there's been no word from Google as to when more stock will be made available. If you managed to get an order in when the devices were made available last time, though, you may want to open up the old inbox and see if there's a shipping confirmation sitting in there.
