Mysterious Samsung SGH-T999L teased by Bluetooth SIG listing

Time to put on your mystery caps and do your best Sherlock Holmes impression, friends. A new Samsung device with the model number SGH-T999L has been spotted getting all nice and certified over on the Bluetooth SIG's website. Unfortunately for us, the listing doesn't confirm much about the handset, only mentioning this is indeed a phone and that it's got Bluetooth 4.0 support.

So what might this thing be? Well, the Galaxy S III on T-Mobile features the model number SGH-T999, so this new device's SGH-T999L identifier suggests that it could be some sort of variant of T-Mo's S III. The tacked on "L" at the end of the model number has led some to suggest that LTE connectivity could be included in this device. T-Mobile's LTE network is slated to start rolling out sometime in 2013, and while the company has yet to formally announce any LTE-capable products, the carrier's flavor of the Galaxy Note II does have the hardware to support T-Mo's LTE network.

For now we'll just have to speculate and wait for more details, like more product certifications, to emerge. Would a new LTE-enabled version of T-Mobile's Galaxy S III convince any of you Magenta Army members to upgrade from your existing handset?
