ZTE Grand S and its 5-inch 1080p display leak out ahead of CES 2013 introduction

The Consumer Electronics Show, also known as CES, is set to kick off in just a few weeks in Las Vegas, and we're sure to see a number of new smartphones unveiled during the big event. It looks like we don't have to wait that long to get a look at one of the devices that'll debut at the show, though. Engadget today posted an image of ZTE's new Grand S, which is scheduled for a Jan. 8 debut, as confirmed by a listing on the official CES website.

The entry on the CES site describes the Grand S as being "the world's thinnest for 5 inch FHD smartphones," meaning that we'll soon have another phone with a 5-inch 1080p display on our hands. Also mentioned in the listing is that the Grand S is "made of ceramic," and some sketches shared by ZTE on Sina Weibo show that it'll have a unibody design and a slight camera hump.

The HTC J Butterfly/DROID DNA got a lot of attention when it debuted earlier this year thanks to its 5-inch 1080p screen, but it looks like we'll have several devices with that entry on their spec sheet in 2013, with phones like Sony's Yuga and Oppo's Find 5 also on the way. While there's not much known yet about what other features the Grand S will include, I wouldn't be surprised if  ZTE opted to back up its 5-inch 1080p screen with some more high-end features. The good news is that we're less than a month from finding out exactly what makes the Grand S tick. Based on this new image and what we know so far about it, do any of you think you'd be interested in the Grand S if it hit U.S. shores?
