The Samsung Galaxy Note II is #1 for November 2012

Dominating all month long, the Samsung Galaxy Note II took the cake for the month of November. It took the #1 spot in both the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Expert's Chart in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ by a significant margin. The Samsung Galaxy Note II shows no signs of slowing down, despite some newer smartphones entering the rankings. Does Samsung's phablet have what it takes to top the charts for the rest of the year?

MT PLEASANT, SC – PhoneDog Media is proud to announce the monthly winners for November 2012 in our Official Smartphone Rankings™, a place where readers and experts alike help rank the market's best smartphones by voting for their favorite devices.

From week 35 to week 39, the Samsung Galaxy Note II mustered enough votes to oust both the Samsung Galaxy S III and Apple iPhone 5 to be the top overall smartphone for the month. With 220 total expert points, it took first in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart with ease, besting the Apple iPhone 5 by a margin of 23 points. In the People's Choice Chart, the Samsung Galaxy Note II beat the Samsung Galaxy S III by 820 votes.

For the month of November, the Samsung Galaxy S III took second in the People's Choice Chart. Booting the Apple iPhone 5 from third for November was the Nokia Lumia 920, which even joined the race one week late. In the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the Apple iPhone 5 dropped from first to second for November. And, with 137 points, the Samsung Galaxy S III ranked at #3 for the month, kicking the HTC One X from the Mobile Tech Experts’ top three for the month.
