Motorola DROID RAZR M to be discounted to $49.99 by Verizon

Less than a month after the Motorola DROID RAZR M became the first of Moto and Verizon's new RAZRs to be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it looks like Verizon is ready to give potential buyers another reason to pull the trigger on a RAZR M. A video posted to Verizon's YouTube account has revealed that the big red carrier plans to offer the DROID RAZR M for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year contract. There's no word on when the sale price will go into effect, as the RAZR M is still listed at $99.99 on Verizon's website, but the commercial does say that this is a "limited time offer."

As a quick refresher, the DROID RAZR M touts a 4.3-inch 960x540 "edge-to-edge" Super AMOLED Advanced display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear and 0.3-megapixel front cameras, 8GB internal storage, microSD card slot and 4G LTE connectivity. As I mentioned before, it's powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which includes Google Now and expandable notifications. Many new Android phones are coming to market with large, 4.5-inch and higher displays, so the RAZR M and its 4.3-inch screen could be worth checking out if you prefer something slightly smaller. Verizon's commercial announcing its RAZR M deal is embedded below.
