U.S. Cellular takes the wraps off of unlimited 4G LTE data plan

Earlier this month, U.S. Cellular expanded its 4G LTE network to over 30 new cities in several different states, including Illinois, Maryland and Virginia. Today the carrier has some more LTE-related news to announce in the form of a new rate plan. U.S. Cellular has taken the wraps off of an unlimited 4G LTE data plan, giving customers in markets where its LTE coverage is live the option signing up for a bottomless bucket of bytes for $40 per month. A tethering add-on for the plan is also available for an additional $20 per month. U.S. Cellular says that the plan will be available "for a limited time."

U.S. Cellular is also offering some deals on select smartphones. For example, the Samsung Galaxy S III is being offered with a $100 instant rebate, bringing the handset down to $199. The Huawei Ascend Y is also available for one penny. Additionally, any customer that buys a smartphone or tablet the option of picking up a Samsung SCH-LC11 4G LTE mobile hotspot for free.

When U.S. Cellular announced its most recent 4G LTE expansion, the carrier said that is plans to roll out LTE coverage to towns like Rockford, Ill., and Knoxville, Tenn., "shortly," with the LTE network expected to cover 58 percent of U.S. Cellular customers by the end of 2012. That's good news for any U.S. Cellular customer interested in making the jump to LTE, and with today's introduction of an unlimited LTE data plan, that move may be even harder to resist for the USCC folk out there. U.S. Cellular Launches New Unlimited 4G LTE Data Plan and Other Promotions

Today U.S. Cellular has launched an unlimited 4G LTE data plan in time for the holiday season. For a limited time, customers in the carrier's 4G LTE markets can select the plan for only $40 per month and add tethering for $20 more. U.S. Cellular is the only carrier in almost all of its markets that offers an unlimited 4G LTE data plan.

U.S. Cellular recently expanded its 4G LTE service to more reach customers in Iowa, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Wisconsin, and rolled out 4G LTE service to some of its leading markets in Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia. By the end of the year, 58 percent of U.S. Cellular's customers will have access to 4G LTE speeds. U.S. Cellular offers eight 4G LTE devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy Note II and the Motorola ELECTRIFY M.

U.S. Cellular is also offering $100 instant rebates on some its smartphones, including the Galaxy S III for $199 and the Huawei Ascend Y for just a penny. And customers who purchase any smartphone or tablet can get the 4G LTE Samsung SCH-LC11 hotspot for free. In addition to these great deals, U.S. Cellular customers get a better experience all year long, with unique benefits like the only loyalty rewards program in wireless.
