After two weeks of landslide victories for the Samsung Galaxy S III, the people have made it clear that it is their #1 smartphone. During the same time frame the votes tallied on the expert's side of the rankings have given the slight edge to the Apple iPhone 5 over the GSIII. This week we spotlight three experts who all have different thoughts on the #1 smartphone.

The iPhone 5 may have had a shaky start, with Maps and purple lens flares, but it remains the best iPhone ever -- and that's saying it's the most-rounded phone on the market. The pinnacle of the Android force, the Galaxy S III is an epic smartphone on four carriers, versus the iPhone 5's three in the United States. With lots of RAM, screen space, processing power, and a great design, the GS3 is a clear-cut winner. The Galaxy Note II is the best phablet out there. It also is the only phone you should consider if you want a large screen, with a quad-core processor, Jelly Bean, and an S Pen. The One X. It's getting old, it has a One X+ successor, and just isn't worth considering. Motorola's RAZR M? Best budget 4G LTE smartphone out there with a dual-core processor, Kevlar, and a sub-HD screen.

I still have the iPhone 4S as my number one, simply because I don't see enough of a jump between the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S to rank the the iPhone 5 above the 4S. The Samsung Galaxy S III comes to a close second, for if I didn't have my 4S I would definitely be carrying one of these. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus may come as a surprise to many for even making an appearance on my list, but I feel like even though the Nexus has been frequently overshadowed by the release of the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S III, the Galaxy Nexus was a flagship for the carrier I use, Sprint. It's almost too close to call for most of these devices, as they all offer something different to the table, but this list reflect my current views well.

The Lumia 900 by Nokia has taken my top spot for the best smartphone available. With its firm build, bold colors, gorgeous display, and Windows Phone 7.5, the Lumia 900 is easily one of the best, if not THE best smartphone available. With future access to Windows Phone 7.8, it will become even better. The iPhone 5 from Apple offers up the 4-inch Retina display, and the wide access to the App Store and iTunes, providing it with the best library of applications for any platform. The iPhone 4S still ranks right below it, with the 3.5-inch Retina display, and industrial build quality that is still top-of-the-line to date. The One X by HTC is strikingly thin, offers up a huge, gorgeous display, and the best build of HTC's Sense UI ever. The DROID RAZR MAXX by Motorola offers up the best battery within a smartphone, allowing users to go for a full day with usage and not needing to worry about finding a charger.
