Hot on the heels of a possible Nokia Lumia 920 release date, we've got an HTC-flavored Windows Phone 8 leak for you. We first got wind of a device referred to as the HTC Accord late last month thanks to a leaked render, and now some more details on the phone's final name and specs have surfaced. The @Football4PDA Twitter account, which was responsible for the original Accord render, has shared a new image showing that the Accord's final retail name could be the "HTC 8X." A second image lists an updated spec sheet for the Accord/8X, which is said to feature a 4.3-inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera with second shooter around front, 16GB storage, 1GB RAM and Beats Audio.
Along with the Accord/8X leaks, @Football4PDA has also posted some purported specs for the HTC One X+ that's been floating around for a while now. Included in the list is a 1.6GHz Tegra 3 AP37 quad-core processor (with a single core that can be boosted up to 1.7GHz), 32GB storage, 1GB RAM, 1,800mAh battery, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and HTC's Sense 4.5 skin. The One X+ is said to measure in at 134.36 x 69.9 x 9.3mm.
We've seen HTC work Windows Phone's version number into a previous device with the Windows Phone 7-powered HD7, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see HTC do the same with at least one of its Windows Phone 8 handsets. As for when we might see the 8X in some sort of official capacity, HTC is contributing to Crazy Mobile September by hosting an event on September 19, so it's possible that we could see the phone there. Meanwhile, the rumor mill claimed back in July that the One X+ may be headed to T-Mobile in late September. Here's to hoping that these devices are indeed due to be introduced later this month, because seeing handsets officially unveiled is always nicer than relying on sporadic leaks for information. UPDATE: Our pals at TmoNews have gotten hold of a new T-Mobile roadmap that features the "HTC Accord" with a launch date of November 14. So if the device as it's listed above tickles your fancy and you're already on Magenta or don't mind switching, you may be able to own the Accord/8X in a little under two months. The document also mentions a "Dell BMW" device with the same November 14 release date, but exactly what it could be is still a mystery. Finally, TmoNews notes that the HTC Era 42/One X+ is no longer shown on the roadmap, and it's said that T-Mobile killed its version of the device because it didn't pass testing.
