Samsung Galaxy Player 5.8 official, packs 5.8-inch display and Android 4.0

Are you of the mindset that bigger is always better? Is the presence of large pockets an important factor in your pants-buying process? If you answered yes to these questions, then Samsung's Galaxy Player 5.8 may be right up your alley. The new media player was officially introduced on the Samsung Tomorrow blog, along with a few spec details. Obviously the main feature here is the device's 5.8-inch display, which has a resolution of 960x540. The latest member of the Galaxy Player family also comes with what looks to be a VGA front-facing camera, a microSD card slot, 2,500mAh battery and Android 4.0, and interested customers will have the option of selecting either 16GB or 32GB of built-in storage.

There are still some key details of the Galaxy Player 5.8 missing, like what kind of processor it's packing, but I'm sure that many folks will make their decision on whether or not to buy the device simply based on its screen size. Speaking of buying, there's no word yet on how much this thing will cost or which parts of the world it'll be available in. With IFA about to kick off in Berlin and Samsung set to have a presence at the show, though, it may not be long before we hear more. Would any of you be interested in buying a device with a 5.8-inch display?
