Less than a week after a rumor claimed that the iPhone may be headed to Virgin Mobile, the news has been confirmed by the prepaid carrier. Virgin Mobile announced today that it'll begin selling both the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S on Friday, June 29. Pricing will be set at $549 for the 8GB iPhone 4 and $649 for the 16GB iPhone 4S.
The iPhone will be compatible with Virgin's Beyond Talk plans, which include a $35 per month plan with 300 minutes and unlimited messaging and data, a $45 per month plan with 1200 minutes and unlimited messaging and data or a $55 plan with unlimited everything. All plans include 2.5GB of full speed data. Virgin Mobile also notes that customers can knock $5 off of their monthly plan by registering for automatic monthly payments with a credit card, debit card or PayPal account.
With its launch of the iPhone, Virgin Mobile will be come the second prepaid carrier in the U.S. to offer Apple's smartphone, adding it to their shelves one week after Cricket will be launching its iPhone. It's good to see that the iPhone is headed for another prepaid operator, and along with the recent addition of the HTC EVO V 4G to its lineup, Virgin appears to be stepping up its selection of higher-end phones. Virgin Mobile USA to Offer iPhone on June 29
Plans as Low as $30 Per Month

Virgin Mobile will offer iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S with its Beyond Talk unlimited data and messaging plans as low as $30[1] per-month on the Sprint® Nationwide Network[2]. iPhone will be available without a contract and with no fees for activation or roaming.
