BlackBerry World may have already come and gone, but that doesn't mean that the flow of BlackBerry 10 news has stopped. A CrackBerry forums user by the name of "biggulpseh" has posted a number of images purportedly from an internal RIM presentation on BlackBerry 10 that show a number of different features of the new OS. Up above is a slide that shows the four latest running apps, which is apparently what the user will see when he or she first unlocks the device, along with a universal message inbox to the right and then an app list to the left.
Before you get to things like the recent apps screen and app list, though, you'll see the device's lock screen, an example of which is shown below. To unlock a BB10 device, the slides claim that the user will need to swipe up starting at the bottom of the display and then letting go after dragging past the bottom third of the screen. The lock screen also shows notifications, battery life and signal and has a camera shortcut in the bottom right corner. There's also a lock screen feature called "Cinnamon Toast" shown, which allows a user to tilt the device when a notification comes in to see bits of the alert. For example, tilting it slightly could show the sender of a message, and tilting it even further would reveal the actual content.
The large batch of leaked documents don't stop there, offering peeks at several other aspects of BlackBerry 10. Also shown in the slides are images of what the official Twitter and Facebook apps may look like, the music player, a screen sharing feature and a built-in video editor. While none of this leaked information is official, the features depicted in the leak look nice so far, especially the lock screen and the way it displays notifications. The bad news is that we're still a ways off from seeing BlackBerry 10 actually hit the market, so it'll be a while before we'll actually get to take these purported features for a test drive.
