Samsung Galaxy S III listed on Amazon Germany with handful of purported specs [UPDATED]

The Samsung Galaxy S III rumor mill just keeps on churning today, as Amazon's German arm appears to have posted a listing for Samsung's next Galaxy S device on its website. The page doesn't offer a huge list of specs for the still-unofficial device, but it does claim that the GSIII will include a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display, 12-megapixel shooter, "16 GB of internal memory, expandable up to 32GB," and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Amazon.de has also given the device a price tag of 599 EUR, which works out to be around $792, and the site (according to the machine translation) encourages customers to "reserve your copy now and get it in time for the release date."

It's worth noting that two of these specs are different than the ones that appeared in yesterday's leak purportedly showing the Galaxy S III's internals within a dummy body. That report claimed that the GSIII will feature a 4.6-inch device an 8-megapixel camera, while Amazon alleges that we'll see a 4.7-incher with a 12-megapixel camera. This isn't the first time that Amazon has listed a product on its website before it's announced, and it's interesting to see that they've also included some (unofficial) specs with the listing. However, only the folks at Samsung know which features are the real deal, and they're not talking. Good thing that May 3rd is getting close.

UPDATE: It looks like Samsung has begun teasing its next Galaxy on the official Facebook page of its Denmark arm. The image you see below recently appeared on Samsung Denmark's page, showing the date and time that Samsung's May 3rd event is scheduled to kick off in Denmark along with the outline of a mysterious handset. There's not really much we can tell about the phone  from the image, but if that is indeed Samsung's new Galaxy that's being teased, it does look like it could have rounded corners, which is bad news for all of the fans of smartphones with squared-off corners out there.
