I have had the GS2 now since Dec. In that time I have been through many different ROM's. With leaks from other siblings in the family, there are adequate Ice Cream sandwich ROM's. The reason I made minor knocks on the display is there is some notable blotching on the display when the background light is on and a black background. This is not something you see with average use but it is there and is known as an issue with the way the screens are made. With battery life, with the Super Amoled plus display it uses a fair amount of battery. You will be able to use it but depending on how much you use it, depends on if you need to charge it during the day/night. Over all I am very pleased with the phone and with the official Ice Cream Sandwich software down the pipe it can hopefully address the battery issue.
