Good news for Motorola DROID Bionic owners this weekend, as word has begun circulating that a soak test for an impending Bionic update is in the works. According to a report out of Droid-Life, Motorola is prepping a soak test for the Bionic, which will involve the company sending an update to a batch of testers to make sure it's working as it should before unleashing the new software to the public.
So what might this mystery update be? We'll have to wait until more details on the soak test leak out before we know for sure, but Droid-Life suggests that it may be build 5.9.902, which is reportedly an update of the maintenance variety. That may not be quite as exciting as a bump up to Ice Cream Sandwich (which Moto has said the Bionic will eventually be getting), but hey, a bug fix update is better than no update at all.
